why small things matter

The world is categorized into two groups, the first group is the group of high rank and the second group is the group of lower rank, nobody in the world wants a small thing, all wants to have big things all dream big dreams to have big things, there are some who dream to become famous musicians like the pop stars, others wants to become great sports men and women , political men and women and even in the church there are others who dream to be great preachers all this things are big things and are highly ranked, but when it comes to small things nobody wants to embrace them, small things which has no value are seen as a curse, they look at it as a garbage, now for us here in Africa the person who rides a bicycle is called a village man and the one who drives a car is called "Honorable " if the one who drives a car passes by the one riding a bicycle he makes sure he increases the speed of the car so that when he by passes this bicycle rider or you can call them small things he leaves them fighting with dust, and their faces and clothes becomes full of dust, i remember when we were young nobody wanted to have a small thing if it is meat we were eating and they give one of us a small meat, one could cry untill they give him a big piece of meat, if the light happens to go off when we are still eating one would rush his hands quickly to the side of another fellow who had got a big meat, and most of the time we could hide our meat under the food, all of us wanted big things, well I'm not against desiring and having big things but this is how the world views Life big things is the gold and small things just a trash and life goes on
   
 Gods View Point

 Now how does God view things? does God view things of life the same as man views it ? unfortunately the way God see things is different from the human point of view in fact the Bible says " God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble and oppressed " (1 Peter 5: 5 ) this verse can clearly tell you that God values the small and simple things that the world regard as nothing more than what the world considers to be important, God poses a questions in the book of Zechariah 4:10 " who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will Rejoice when they see the chosen Capstone in the hand of zerubbabel? do we see God's view point? God glorifies Himself in small things, saint Paul says in 1Corin 1:27 " but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty " let me give you some example of the nothing's and small things in the Bible that God used to put to shame the wise and mighty

 1. The twelve apostles were simple men with no value,( Matt 10:2-4) their education level was low, they were mere Fisher men but God used them to break gets of Hades, we are the products of the apostles today, the product of the small message the preached the Gospel ,

 2.David God used David to kill Israel's enemy Goliath, David was despised and mocked by his brothers he was seen as a small thing, poor David what could he do? instead the used him to care for his father's sheep in the wilderness alone but God used him to destroy the mighty Goliath

 3. The witness of a small, insignificant Jewish slave girl, reached the heart of Naaman, the leprous commander of the army of Syria. Her influence turned his heart toward the God of Israel, and brought both physical and spiritual healing to his life! 2 kings 5

5.God spoke to Elijah using a soft small voice instead of a loud and majestic voice _this is how God value small things - how about you how do you view things around you? you want to know Gods will for you? then be humble and value small things, see everything important as God sees them because God will use a small thing again and again.
